If that sounds good to you then I've got your attention and can remind you of the Middle Main Walking Club setting off tomorrow at 12:15 from the Mid-Hudson Heritage Center at 317 Main St. It looks like cool, partly cloud, dry fall weather tomorrow- perfect conditions for a mid-day invigorating walk that will leave you feeling great and full of energy for the rest of the day!

I encourage you to take part if you can for several reasons. First, walking is great exercise and before long we won't want to walk outside :( Then, you can hopefully 1) meet new people in your neighborhood (at least myself and Maddy- the most spirited Americorps VISTAs around- and we want to meet you! 2) learn something new and interesting about the city (I've selected this route for tomorrow and will share some about the history of the neighborhood and buildings) and 3) sample the above mentioned autumnal snack made by yours truly. Yes, the food in the subject is a ploy to pull you, my fellow residents, from your desks and living rooms. Don't let a homemade treat go to waste! Also, I'm new to baking and need your feedback to improve.

We've placed the order for our Middle Main-iac T-shirts and trust me, you'll want one of these. So come join us on Main St to prove your enthusiasm for Middle Main!

I hope you can make it but if you can't I hope more that you are able to get active outside or exercise in any way.

Also, if you live in the Middle Main district (between Academy St and Pershing Ave and a bit North and South of the arterial) and have not yet completed a resident experience survey, you'll be able to do so tomorrow from 2pm-3pm outside Art Centro (485 Main St). Completing a survey gets you a $5 Dunkin' Donuts gift card on the spot AND enters you into our raffle to win a $100 Visa gift card. You can email me at steven.montera1@gmail.com to find out if your residence is within the boundaries of the Middle Main area surveyed.
